The idea came about in 2006, after two brothers  decided to give back to consumers after realizing that the slow economy began to affect close family and friends.  Shawn Says:

“We want all customers to understand the importance of recycling and how consumers can save hundreds of dollars a year by participating in this rewarding experience while helping the Environment.”

We are inviting others to join in this practice and take benefit from what the store has to offer residents in Toledo, with the purpose to achieve a critical mass and significantly increase the rate of merchandise recycling  in Toledo.

To date Neighborhood Thrift will be the first in the Toledo area to not only carry clothing but home decor, furniture, sporting goods and much more. We will also work closely with charities such as Coats for the Cold and Dress to Succeed to promote corporate responsibility while showing that Neighborhood Thrift can do it’s fair share to help out the community.

Our effort is truly a community based one and reaches across many boundaries both in and out of the Ohio area. Without a collective community involvement, we cannot achieve our goals.
